What is Selah?

Selah is a WhatsApp-based AI companion for daily reflection, gratitude, practical guidance, and personal growth. Users can chat with Selah by text or voice note and receive AI-generated support.

What we collect

• Phone number: Your WhatsApp number, used to send and receive messages.
• Messages: The content of your conversations with Selah, stored to personalize your experience and remember your journey.
• Name: If you share it during onboarding.
• Payment information: Payment status, receipts, transaction references, and access history when you choose to pay for continued access.
• Timezone: Auto-detected from your phone number's country code to send messages at the right time.

How we use your data

• To send you daily reflections and respond to your messages
• To personalize your experience over time
• To process access, payments, and support requests
• To improve the service using aggregate analytics

What we don't do

• We never sell your data
• We never share your personal messages with third parties
• We don't use your data for advertising targeting

Third-party services

• Meta WhatsApp Cloud API: Handles WhatsApp message delivery
• Google Cloud: Hosts our infrastructure
• Google Gemini: Powers AI responses (messages are processed but not stored by Google for training)
• Payment partners: Process payments and payment verification where applicable

Important limits

Selah is not a medical, therapy, legal, financial, or emergency service. It provides general AI-generated reflection and guidance. For urgent or regulated needs, contact a qualified professional or local emergency service.

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as you use Selah. To delete your data, simply message "delete my data" on WhatsApp and we'll remove everything within 48 hours.
